In this lesson

  1. 1.Connecting
  2. 2.Worth changing before your first order

Connecting

  • Install the platform build your broker provides
  • Enter the server name exactly as issued — brokers run many servers
  • Confirm the account number and whether it is demo or live

Worth changing before your first order

  • Turn off one-click trading until you are comfortable
  • Set the default lot size to the smallest available
  • Show the account currency and equity in the terminal window

Confirm whether the window is on a demo or live account before every session. The interface is identical and the distinction is easy to miss.
